‘Stochastic Confabulation’ Opening Talk & Reception
5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2
Berg Gallery in Architecture and Environmental Design Building (No. 5)
Reception to follow in University Art Gallery

‘Stochastic Confabulation’ will feature several recent video projections created by artist Casey Reas. The exhibit will open with a talk by Reas in the Berg Gallery, and a reception will follow at 6 p.m. in University Art Gallery, located on the ground floor of the Dexter Building (No. 34).

Three immersive projections were composed by using “processing,” the language of coding that Reas helped to create. Visitors will be invited to sit within the gallery and view the projections individually and as a whole. The sound from each projection will overlap, and the viewers are encouraged to adjust the mixer themselves in order to customize their experience.
