2018 Juried Student Show

Cal Poly’s University Art Gallery presents the “2018 Juried Student Exhibition,” a vetted showcase of artwork made in the Art and Design Department, to run April 12 through May 11. A reception will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in the gallery, located on the ground floor of the Dexter Building (No. 34). The exhibit was juried by painter and sculptor Peter Charles, a San Luis Obispo resident who has exhibited work in many museums and galleries throughout the U.S.

‘Stochastic Confabulation’ will feature several recent video projections created by artist Casey Reas. The exhibit will open with a talk by Reas in the Berg Gallery, and a reception will follow at 6 p.m. in University Art Gallery, located on the ground floor of the Dexter Building (No. 34).

Cal Poly’s University Art Gallery presents “Type Design: A Journey” by artist Nina Stössinger in her first solo exhibition. The exhibit will open with a talk by Stössinger, a Swiss typeface designer, at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, in Room 123 of the Bioresource and Agricultural Engineering Building (No. 8) on campus. A reception will follow at 5:30 p.m. in the gallery, located on the ground floor of the Dexter Building (No. 34).
